Exciting news - New Wine making team for 2007 Vintage!
NHV is extremely pleased to announce its affiliation with the wine making team of Owen-Roe Winery.
In 2007 Owen-Roe pruchased the Apex winery production facility in Sunnyside, Washington which in its original life was the Carnation Dairy creamery. Former wine maker for Apex Jean Claude Beck will be crafting our grapes in to wine from their new Washington production facility named after its first occupant.
Owen-Roe winery is located in Dundee, Oregon and has been producing extraordinary wines from its inception. Partners Jerry Owen (viticulturist) and David OReilly (wine maker) believe in the quality of Washington wine grapes, especially those grown above 1000′ elevation. These high elevation vineyard sites such as Outlook Vineyard, Les Vignes de Marcoux, Elephant Mountain Vineyard , Slide Mountain Vineyard, and Naches Heights Vineyard produce grapes with greater natural levels of acidity, richer colors and flavors due to the warm days. and much cooler nights.
You will be sure to enjoy our first release (April 1st, 2008) of wines created at the Cream Wienry. Thanks for your continued support!

2005 Riesling “Classic Riesling character: pear, apple, and other green fruit, with good minerality. A fair amount of sweetness is balanced by good acidity, and golden fruit kicks in on the palate — apricot, mango, pineapple, and lemon zest.” Sunset Magazine June 2007
91 points - Wine and Spirits magazine August 2007 2005 Riesling “This pretty Riesling from the the eastern reaches of the Columbia valley, north of Yakima, has an aroma that’s tropical yet lean, and flavors leaning toward pear and peach. That peach gives way to passion fruit with a hint of wildflower honey, all held together with a delicate grip. Elegant and complex, it’s terrific with Vietnamese spring rolls- especially the imperial rolls at San Francisco’s Tu Lan restaurant.”
